A bit about me…

My work and my clients have led me to search out ways of working that get to the root of issues and resolve factors that are keeping you stuck. I offer brainspotting, traditional talk therapy, Imago therapy, and Parts Work (Internal Family Systems). I also educate about the nervous system and how to regulate with body-based strategies. I have certification in Narrative Therapy and Brainspotting.

I can be direct when trust is established. This means, I offer expertise gained from years of experience working as a therapist, and being a learner of what brings transformational change to my clients. I can support you to get out of the crisis or chaos, and support deep work including expansion.

I realize that my relationship with my clients is one point in their life journey. I want to give my clients just what they need, whether they know what that is when we meet, or I assist them in uncovering that. It is important to me to be collaborative and transparent in all my work. I believe in providing space for my clients to gain a sense of agency in facing their struggles and goals.

I am a wife, mom, and step-mom of two adult daughters. Like my clients, I have worked to heal from my early and adult experiences and bring that healed presence to my work. I enjoy fly fishing, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and volunteering for causes related to justice, equality, and family stability.

What or where is Tysson Creek?

My practice is named after my horse Tysson and one of my beliefs about therapy. Tysson has passed, but he was my companion, teacher of patience and beloved horse for 19 years. Owning a horse was a childhood dream that I fulfilled as an adult. I want his legacy and what he has done for me and my work to live on.

“Creek” reminds me that our work takes twists and turns; we might not always know where we are headed, but there is beauty in the journey. The current (your inner wisdom), along with my experience and presence will lead us where you need to go.

I am on a journey of learning and unlearning as it relates to racism, classism and ableism. I strive to be open and humble. I don’t expect others to teach me. I will do the work that is needed.
